What is a Review Board?
The review board is very similar to a bulletin board. Just like a
bulletin board at school or at the grocery store, this is your opportunity
to speak out and tell it like it is. As the name implies, the Review Board
should be used to review a club, and not to ask questions or "chat" about
off topic things. You can use the ZBB for that purpose.

What do I need to use the Review Board?
Since you are reading this FAQ, you already have most of what you need
to use the review board. To make full use of the review board features,
you need a browser that can use JavaScript HTML files. If you have an old
browser (and don't want to upgrade), or you are using the AOL 3.0 browser,
you may not be able to use all the features of the review board. Please
upgrade your browser by downloading the latest version from their
respective websites.
If you think your browser has Javascript turned off, but you cannot figure
out how to turn it on, you can follow the
instructions here to on the feature in most browsers and versions on
different platforms.

How do I post a review?
From the main page, click on one of the listed clubs. From that page,
click on [Submit Review] at the top of the page. If you have not already
registered a name (or "handle"), you can do so by clicking on the word
"registered" to the right of the box where you type in your name.
If you are unable to open the window to register, your browser does not
have JavaScript enabled. To turn on this feature in your browser,

How often does the Review Board get updated?
That's the beauty of this board. It gets updated when you add
something. It's real time and fast. Just post a review and as soon as you
press the button to post, the review goes online on the website. You don't
have to wait on my lazy ass to update this puppy.

Can I post ANYTHING?
Yes, you can post anything. However, I reserve the right to edit or
delete a post for the following reasons: If there is a post that is
repeated for no apparent reason, I will delete it. If a post mentions
illegal activities by specific dancers or at a named club, I will redact
that portion of the post, or the entire post. To see the entire full
official rules for the Review Board, click here.
Please keep in mind that it is likely that law enforcement is reading
this board and would love to use it to bust dancers and/or clubs.
Otherwise, if the information is incorrect or if you disagree with a post,
simply post your own review. That's the beauty of this board. Everybody
gets to have their say.

Can I use HTML in my posts?
Sorry, no. To prevent people from causing the pages from not being
displayed correctly, HTML, as well as images or sounds are not allowed in
posts. However, you can include emoticons in your post.

How long does it take for my post to show up?
There is no time delay and your post should appear immediately.
If you don't see your post, please try refreshing the page by clicking on
"Reload" or "Refresh" in your browser.

How come my review doesn't show up?
Most likely, this is due to your browser caching the old copy of the
page. Try pressing the "Reload" button on your browser to see your new
review.

What is the little question mark next to the name for?
You can click on this icon
to automatically perform a "whois" function on the name. This
will allow you to find out the available profile of the person.

How do I delete my own post?
You can click on this icon
to delete the review that the icon is next to. In order to
delete the review, you must enter your name and password, and you must be
the person who submitted the review. Moderators can also use this icon to
delete reviews that do not conform to the rules and standards of the
Review Board.

There's a post violating the rules. What do I do?
You can email me at webmaster @ zbone.com (no spaces) with the
following information:
- In the subject, enter "[club name] reader review post violation"
- In the actual email, place the name of the club or URL.
- And the date and time of post.
- And the name of poster.
- If the reason for the violation is not obvious, include why you
think this post violates the rules.
You'd be surprised at how many emails I get like this:
"Please delete the post that mentions my real name. Thank you."You
can include the entire post in your email but be sure to include the URL of
the page it came from or I may still not be able to find the post.

Why does some names on posts have a VIP next to it?
This VIP icon simply signifies that the poster is a member of the
Z-VIP. Being a member means that he is no longer
anonymous to zbone.com which normally means that readers should be able to
trust their messages, at least at a higher level than anonymous posters
who could be anybody, including a shill, or even spammer.
However, keep in mind that it's always a good idea to make your own
judgments regarding the truthfulness or accuracy of any message, from
anybody. Moreover, most posts are subjective and like reviewing
movies, if the poster does not have the same tastes as yourself, it's
likely that their message will have little interest for you. It's a
good idea to find a poster that have the same tastes as yourself.

I got a message "You have recently posted a message. Please wait
before posting again." What does this mean?
This message is to let you know that you have posted a message recently
and you must wait a little while before posting again. This actual
time depends on the status of the poster, and Z-VIP posters do not have to
wait as long. The message that you tried to post when you got this
message will not be posted.
The purpose of this is to prevent spammers from posting messages all over
the review board. It's a lot of work to clean up these spammer
messages and this is just one way that we try to prevent them from messing
up the board.

My post is gone. What happened to it?
First, make sure that you are not looking at an older cached copy of
the page by clicking on "Reload" or "Refresh" on your browser. If
that doesn't work, then your post may have been deleted by a moderator.
Before you email me to complain, please read the
rules of posting. If after reading the rules, you still feel that your
post was deleted incorrectly, you can
email me.

What happened to all the posts?
We are experiencing a problem with the reader review board which causes
the page to sometimes become corrupted when a post is submitted or
deleted. If there is no current backup of the page, the entire page
must be reset (i.e. cleared out) and all the posts will be lost. We are
working on correcting this problem.

Can I post an anonymous message?
Unlike the Bulletin Board, you must register your name before you can
post a review. However, if you do not want others to see your email
address, do not check the box marked "Show email to others." Obviously, if
you want people to send you back an answer to your question via email,
you'll have to check that box.
As for the name, you don't have to enter your real name. I would
suggest that you pick a "handle", or nickname and use the same one every
time you post a review. In this way, at least the other readers can
recognize that you have posted before and will, perhaps, read what you
have to say.

Why do I have to register my name?
Unlike the bulletin board, I want to try to make the people posting
reviews to be responsible for what they say. Of course, one can still
register a bogus name but the hope is that by making it a little more
difficult to place a review, to reduce the "noise" factor and "hit and
run" posters.

When I register, why don't I get my password emailed to me?
When you register, your password is emailed to you within minutes. If
you have not gotten this email, it's likely that something is wrong.
If you are using AOL, Yahoo mail or Hotmail, it's likely that your spam
blocker needs to be adjusted. For detailed information on how to get
around your spam blocker (called whitelisting),
please read this document.
Otherwise, either your email service
is blocking our attempts to email you with a spam blocker, or the email
that you provided is wrong or has a typo. In some cases, the email server
that you have provided cannot receive email for one reason or another
(e.g. your settings are incorrect or the account is not setup properly).
Please first check to make sure you can receive email, then check your
spam blocker setting, then click on the "Forgot your password?" link and
type in your handle.
If you suspect that you accidentally had a typo in your email address,
email me with your handle and I will look into it. If your typo is
severe, there may not be a way for me to verify that you are the same
person. In this case, you will have to pick a new username and
re-register.

How do I change my handle after I've already registered?
You cannot. You'll have to re-register with your new handle.

I forgot my password. Can you give it to me?
You can click on the "Forgot your password?" link and type in your
handle. Your password will be emailed to the address that you
entered when you registered.
If you can't seem to find that link, you can go directly to:
http://www.zbone.com/hts/namelib.mv?action=getsendpass

How do I change my password?
Click on the "[Change Profile]" link from the main review board page.
It is located at the bottom of the page. If you cannot find it,
presented with a screen to allow you to change your password.

Why doesn't my password work?
The system assigned password contains upper and lower case characters.
The password is case sensitive so you must type in the password exactly as
show in the email that you receive from the website. For example, if
your password is "AbCd", typing "abcd" or "ABCD" will NOT work.
Also, make sure to type the correct characters. Common errors are
the number zero (0) instead of the letter "O", and the number one (1)
instead of the capital letter "I" or lower case "L" (l).
Another common problem is when you cut and paste the password from the
email that you received from us, sometimes there are extra spaces or tabs
imbedded with the password. Be sure that you are cutting and pasting
ONLY the password.

I changed my email address and I can't remember my password. How can I
get my password emailed to me?
That's a catch-22. Unfortunately, since there is no way for me to
verify that you are the person who registered the username, I cannot
release the password to your new email address. You will have to
register a new username using your new email address.

When submitting a review, will my e-mail address show up?
That depends on the setting you chose when you registered. You can
check your current setting by going to your profile. Click on the "[Change
Profile]" link from the main review board page. If you cannot find it,
click here. If the box next
to "Show email to others" is checked, your email address will be visible
to other readers. If you do not want your email to be visible, simply
uncheck this box and press the "Change Profile" button.

How do I change my profile?
You can change your profile by clicking on the [Change Profile] link
located at the bottom of the page. If you simply cannot find it,

I have a new email address. Do I have to register a new name?
No. You can simply update your email address. Click on the "[Change
Profile]" link from the main review board page. You will be presented with
a screen to allow you to change your email address. When you change your
email address, we will automatically assign you a new password and email
it to your new email address. Be sure to enter the correct email
address or you will not be able to login to your account.

How do I close my account?
There is no way to close your account. If you leave it dormant
for a long time, it will eventually get deleted automatically.

Why is my favorite club not included?
I have not had time to include a review board section for all the clubs
on my website. If you feel that you want to place reviews for a particular
club, you can email me or post a request on the bulletin board under the
topic "Z Bone's Website".

How do I find new or recent posts?
You can click on "All Club Detail" at the bottom of the opening screen
to get a list of all the available clubs, the number of reviews for that
club, and the date/time of the most recent review and the author for each
club. If you want to get there right now, click
here. From this detail page, you can click on the club name and go
directly to the reviews.
If you want to see new posts since the last time you checked, click on
the "Find New" button at the very bottom of the opening screen or the
detail screen. This will give you a list of just the new posts since the
last time you checked. Note that the first time you do this, you will get
all the clubs listed. Then, click on "Set All Reviews Read" to indicate
that you have read those reviews. In order to use this feature, you must
have "cookies" turned on in your browser.

How can I see the clubs listed by city?
Go to the "All Club Detail" list and click on the word "CITY" above the
city column. To return back to the alphabetical listing, click on the word
"CLUB" above the club column.

How long does the messages stay on the Review Board?
When the number of reviews for a particular club become too large, the
older ones will be deleted. Currently, there are no plans on archiving old
reviews.

How did you create this Review Board?
I wrote the Review Board using MivaScript on my main server. For more
