Do all strippers have tattoo? It seems as if ever dancer I've encounter has been inked. Just wondering why?

I think it depends on the club you are going to. There are some clubs with almost no dancers with big tattoos

As to why? Tattoos are popular. Damn near every broad, dancer or civilian, I know under the age of 35 has one or more (many, many more usually).

It's not just a dancer thing.

Agree with Z (usually a smart move).

At the Jet, tattoos have been running rampant. Angel would be on my dance card if it weren't for her having so much writing all over her that when she takes her clothes off it looks like she's still dressed. There are many others. A few buck the trend. Kai has a single small one on the nape of her neck, usually invisible.

At the Bare, a higher percentage of dancers have few or no tattoos. Sheena, a girl I like, is tattoo-free. In fact, this is primarily a U.S.-led trend. The Bare has a fair number of Slavs and Asians. But even at the Bare, ink is ascendant.

It's an age-culture thing. A fashion-fad. And seemingly de rigeur in that part of the female population that generates strippers. My own major faves from the middle of the '00s were all tattoo-free. But most of the girls I patronized in those days are now over 30. Tattoos are still a minus to me but they have become so common I pretty much ignore them when they're not too obtrusive.

As to why, yeah. As I say, fashion. But fashions come and go. It won't be many years before some of these inker-belles will be asking themselves the same question (some already are).

I have no issues with gals being inked. There are some majority great art work on some that I've seen. But like mosthave stated it a little rampant. Gone are the days of milky white clear skin ;)

Apropos this discussion, I just came across the following paragraph in the novel, A Visit from the Goon Squad, by Jennifer Egan, in a chapter that takes place 12 or 15 years into the future:

"Lulu was in her early twenties, a graduate student at Barnard and Bennie's full-time assistant: a living embodiment of the new 'handset employee': paperless, deskless, commuteless, and theoretically omnipresent, though Lulu appeared to be ignoring a constant chatter of handset beeps and burps.  The photos on her page had not done justice to the arresting, wide-eyed symmetry of her face, the radiant shine of her hair.  She was 'clean': no piercings, tattoos, or scarifications.  All the kids were now.  And who could blame them, Alex thought, after watching three generations of flaccid tattoos droop like moth-eaten upholstery over poorly stuffed biceps and saggy asses?"

Fair or not, this brought a couple thoughts to mind.  Men have gotten tattoos for generations and no doubt will continue to do so.  Among women it's been a more recent trend, and, like most female decor trends, will, for the reason cited above, or for some other reason, or for no reason, come to an end, sooner or later.  When it does, women in their 30s, who typically often like to be as little distinguished as possible from women in their 20s, will then not only have to battle the usual challenges of sun, gravity, etc., but will have literally branded themselves as belonging to an older generation.

Corollary to that, I foresee a rising demand for tattoo removal.  Specifically, given the expense and often-unsatisfactory results of the current state of the art, I foresee a demand for tattoo removal R&D.  The wise young man seeking his fortune should take note!

But i do agree with this- yeah a little tat once in a while or here and there on a girl is ok- but come on - i don't want to read scrolls on a girl's back while she's on my lap grinding me. It's too distracting. Lol

I think the tatoo thing is getting really out of hand with all women not just strippers. It's great to see an all natural woman without any ink on them. It's becoming rare now a days. Just like seeing natural tits. LOL there's a dancer that I know that has the Disney Castle on the side of her hip. She should put "The happiest place on earth" over her vag'.

I don't mind ink on a dancer, large or small, as long as it's done well and looks pleasing to the eye. Nothing's nastier than seeing a tattoo that obviously looks like it was done by her homegirl, while drunk, in the backseat of a Buick. Oy!

I have a few tats of my own, so I appreciate this form of art - again as long as it's done well. And I disagree about the transitory state of women and tattoos....I think they are here to stay for many generations to come.
