Have'nt had a chance to stop by and have a few, but hopefully will soon. Had to chuckle, normally people complain that securiy is to touchy feely and strict at the hangout, not the other way around. Guess you just dont look thug enough. JK The security guards are all pros and can usually read the patrons pretty well. Believe me if they though you looked like trouble they would take an interest in you. But as this is a neighborhood spot I've never seen any trouble break off that security and some of the regulars could'nt squash. By the way their are 4 exits to the spot, main, in the alcove next to the pool table, to the rear of the club by the ladies room and out the old kitchen entrance. When you've been their when shit jumps off you learn were they are pretty quick. Yeah the CHP loves to fish along Gerhart and Olympic. Normally the best thing to do is wait for them to go after the first few cars and use them as decoys. You should be their when the Sherrif's like to come in and just hang out by the bar in mass, always a fun night. Patroling? yeah right, normally just getting a free peak and a grab. The ladies are always willing to come by and show you some love, this joint gets some good talent and has a flavor for all tastes. As far as high drink prices go, well have'nt been to Vegas lately, but never had a problem at Nicks. Just take care of the staff and they'll take care of you. Well good to hear that Nicks is still doing well, gonna have to head out as soon as I can. That Bushmills ic calling me and I'm missing my table. Date: 8/15/2010 10:12pm Name: Cognoscente (300) Subject: An Actual Review Stopped in here on purpose Saturday the 14th having left a non ‘wear something white’ party at Déjà Vu N.H. and Zcon at VIP. This place is basically behind The Citadel. East on Olympic from Atlantic but be careful if you do not see well at night because the first signal has a G first letter (Goodrich) and is NOT Gerhart. The security at the club is way too lax for me. Things happen so fast in a low ceiling, crowded place with one entrance/exit (albeit two curtains). No pat down or metal detector. The parking lot and club were fuller than either D Vu or VIP. Could see about 20 dancers. Couples and single women were in attendance too. 3 barkeeps – all female. No Inna anywhere. Very expensive price for my beverage here. More than Las Vegas now charges. Did not like the fact the California Highway Patrol drove by several times. This place is quite off the beaten path. One security indicated it was common and they basically patrol for violations and DUI. Sorry. No gal review. Approached many times by smiling faces unlike D Vu though. Spent 20 minutes talking with a single gal at the bar and then headed south. The words getting out that Nick's can be a good place to work if you can hustle, we'll see how that works out. Some of the new policies have really seperated the wheat from the chaff so to say. As far as security goes, I can honestly say I've never had an issue with any of them at Nick's. The younger guy with the black hair seems to bethe mostlevel headed one in a while. Its simple really perception is key. You look like a thug expect to be carded and patted, look like a guy out for a drink and some fun less likely to be. Be a regular smooth sailing. My only complaint is that they moved Preious to day shift security, that crazy chica was/is one hell of a pole dancer, an unusual DJ, and the security guard at Nick's I wouldnt want to fuck with. ;) All in all a good time was had by all, much Bushmills was drunk and cant wait to do it again. A Big Shout OUT to Prod for keeping the info real and a few others... My Wingman and I decided since we were passing right by Nics on our way home to drop in and see what has changed with new management! I tend to only be there on Fridays and Saturdays as those are the only days that my favs all work. I use my debit card there all the time and have yet to have a problem. I did see two posting the last time I was there but found that one was the charge and the other was the hold. The hold went away after a few days, as this is the bank's procedure, not Nic's. You'll see this same process with just about any restaurant charge. Now, I'm only there during the dayshift and it's my understanding is that they don't take plastic at night. Yes, a lot of new talent there. Crystal has only been there a months and is a pleasant addition to the Nic Family. She easily fits in with the trio of hotness, Nataly, Maria and Selma.
