Don't want to start making excuses right away, but want to point out that it is difficult to keep all of our customers happy. Some say we post on zbone and twitter too much, others criticize us for not posting often enough. Hopefully, most of you think that we do a pretty good job of letting everyone know about RTRC's, dance specials, and other happenings here at the club. I did some research this morning on other twitter feeds in our industry. Most clubs don't post on twitter, ever. The ones that DO have twitter feeds don't seem to post very often. One posted their last tweet on Feb 13th. One posted last on the 21st of February. Another posted only 3 days in March. On the other hand, I reviewed OUR twitter page and found that we posted multiple tweets almost every day in February and March (except 3/14, 3/7, 2/28, 2/21, and 2/7) Meaning that the only days we haven't been posting are Sundays. Old school waitress/dancer Eve used to work Saturdays, waitressing and dancing for several regulars. Some of whom had been dancing with Eve for 20 years or more. Eve told a story once about a guy who used to be brought into the club by his friend as he was in a wheelchair, much like INDubjFLiP and his friend. He wanted to go to JetStrip cuz he misses DOMINIQUE. We both had been to JetStrip more than 10 visits. Yeah! The look is more cabaret style with the table cloths and glass tops replacing the tall tables that were more like cheap barroom stuff. Even the barmaid was much nicer than the last time I was here about 8 years ago. A tall, pretty blond, she was very friendly and attentive, she even asked me if I needed more ice for my coke, and offered a refill after my lunch. I recall the last time it was some uptight unfriendly Asian girl. The food here is pretty good and they've upgraded to real plates! Her lap dances are even better than I remember. :-) The other dancers were all new to me but they looked fine and this is got to be the most friendly, no-pressure club in the USA. In Florida, where I live now, the clubs look great, but they don't have the atmopshere of this place. It's one of the few where they don't bother you with the "buy the lady a drink" thing. The only change for the worse was I remember the second drink was a bit less that the first, so instead of $6 for each coke, the second was maybe like $4.50. Most times if you are sitting with a dancer that interests you, she will mention an upcoming promo and ask if you'd be interested. This works out pretty well. This sucks, tho, if a dancer you've got your eye on is already sitting with someone else....chances are she'll ask that person for a promo dance, and you're SOL. If you've got some time to hang around you can wait for her to finish with that custie, but people like me on our lunchbreaks often don't have too much time. A very small complaint, especially when you compare it to all of the good things about this club(which are many). I feel elsewhere. Girls do, however, ask for dances, which is fortunate, because I don't particularly like to run after them. In fact, a girl's pitch can sometimes sway me, one way or the other. If a girl doesn't ask me, I tend not to ask her. I figure, well, she's not interested, and if she's not interested, she's not going to give me much of a dance. So, Mustang, I think your experience was not typical Still, there have been occasions on which I've felt ignored on the day shift. May be because a lot of the money on the day shift comes in through regulars. If a dancer doesn't recognize you as one of "hers," she may think you "belong" to somebody else. It also helps if they see a friendly face in the small crowd that they can plop down for a bit & chat. There have been a few times that I have left the Jet in search of better feeding grounds, but usually it's because the ladies present are just not my cup o' tea that day, rather than a shortage of bodies hustling around. I don't begrudge dancers' absenting themselves from the scene of (in)action for a few songs, and to be fair, the Jet does a better job of keeping its girls in circulation than some other clubs do.
