Believe me - I'd love to have the time to hang out in the COI and enjoy the UHM that those clubs have to offer. But I can't. I have to make due with clubs closer to the south bay area. For me it's usually either The Bare or The Jet. I've also been visiting Rio over on Figueroa - nude dances 3 for $60. Each club has it's ups & downs, like everything in life. For most guys, I bet a club in Rialto is not an alternative to BE LAX. For a lot of guys, I doubt DVNH is an alternative. The closest real alternative is the Jet Strip, and not everybody is going to like that club's physical layout, topless there is $30 most of the time, and the lineups are usually weaker. True, mileage is somewhat higher, though it's not COI. It's not even Silver Reign. For guys willing to travel to the West side, which is not that far, there's 4Play, for good-looking chicks and cheap, long laps but, as everybody knows, little action. There's Silver Reign, which has shorter dances and, typically in the evening, no topless, and few specials, so you're stuck with $40 dances, though at least you can often have a good time if you can keep your mind off the money. Then there are Skin and the Star Strip, about which nothing need be said. I'm not gonna try to defend the Bare. I haven't been there in over a year, despite numerous trips in the past and despite a luscious lineup, at least on the day shift, because the dances had just gotten too lame. I've been meaning to go back one Friday afternoon and verify that things haven't gotten any better, but you know, it never seems a priority. Still, I can see it, for some guys who want a kinda-swank environment, lookers, and a little grind, if they're not budget-constrained and don't want to drive a long way, this could be the place. My main beef here is with Management/Owners that there prices are way overpriced in comparison to most other places. I just dont like others getting suckered into paying higher (Not knowing) when there are plenty of other choices out there for far less . Correct me if I'm wrong, But weren't they charging $31 topless,$41 nudes just a few months ago? WTF? Like Bruno has mentioned most of the other places do have 2 for 1's played that you can get $10 a song rather than the $13 a song you posted on their current $26 topless price. Also did you happen to know SR-Rialto fully nudes are $25 and they do play 2 for 1's on those. These ARE NUDES NOT TOPLESS by the way and the girls there are hot IMHO. Also so you are aware some of the other Places I've been to the dancers don't just wait for the special to walked out to the floor. They actually hustle and asked for dances on single songs or some sit and mingle with the customers. You think they are just chatting while sitting on a customers lap, but they are in a way working the floor and do see PL's buying single songs as $20 is not that bad compared to $26. I had forgotten that bare elegance and valley ball are sister clubs so TED is right. I guess they thought changing names with the bad rep. valley ball has gotten would bring back customers to that club, but it will backfire once the customers come to find out the current prices are for that establishment. The one thing that Bare LAX has in its favor unlike the the valley Bare club is there isn't much competition in the area. Bare elegance in the valley has godfather's,Spearmint rhino-van nuys, deja vu-N.H., Rouge, which are all close by that charge much less and the mileage is better. Last time I was at valley ball(bare elegance now) I remembered buying a 2 for 1 dance for $30 topless(Yeah I know what the Fuck was I thinking) the floor manager was standing there like an erected smuck watching my action(the whole entire time) not just marking the song down for the dancer. He made me very uncomfortable that I had to post that sh*t up here at the time. The one night a few short years ago they had VIP customer appreciation night at VB which was $15 topless $30 nude it was standing room only back to its heydays. Now if they would lower their prices, It will bring customers back in. Its just a shame the owners are so Fucking greedy here at both places that they are too stupid to realized whats good for their customers to attract them back. They much rather be greedy for themselves by overseeing that the prices be as high as possible especially for those newbies who are unaware of the SC Industry standard prices . Peace Out!!! Date: 3/6/2010 11:40am Name: ted (23) Subject: louis 3/4 post Nope, the Valley Ball didn't go out of business nor was it sold last year to this Bare Elegance. A man named Mike Woods, who used to own this Bare Elegance (including the land), the Valley Ball (also including the land) and the Jet Strip (a rented building), sold both properties in the early 2000's ('03 or '04). Unlike the then buyer and current owner, a Mike G., Woods is a genius having sold real estate at the height of the market. Geez, he paid some $60,000 for the property on Imperial Highway back in the early-mid 1980's. It did have a smaller building on it then, but so what, the idiot who bought it, if he paid market value, was about $2 million or so in 2004. Can't tell because it was in an LLC and that just changed hands, so there is no property records of the transfer. It seems that all that happened to the Valley Ball last year was a name change to match this club. The reason I know all this is because I used to date the former owner of another club and am now an real estate agent. The RE records are available to anyone that wants to go into the Hall of Records at the County Recorder's Office in Norwalk and look them up. FYI: The "G" in Mike G stands for greedy, not genius. On the other hand, VIP in NH only charge $10/song for topless and $20 for nude, and that's all the time. BE dancers' quality is higher, but I only need one dancer that I like. Valley Ball used to be great club some 6-7 years ago. But then The owners got really greedy tried charging $30 topless,$45 nudes, The customers then stop showing up(Better deals everywhere else in the area) and basically they were not making any so they sold the place to B.E. last year. Valley Ball last time I went there was so shocked it was like a ghost town. Now if the dances were outta this world, High mileage nasty factor I wouldn't be complaining and dont think most would either. Im sure most customers have the same feeling as I do about these current prices that it is way overpriced that they don't even bother showing up here especially when they can get better deals and with the way the economy is bad for most people It doesn't make sense to charge $26 with no mileage like you can get elsewhere and for much less the prices. The times when you could walk into a club and have fun with a hot chick. Unfortunately, a lot has changed in our industry. What we offer at the Bare, both of them by the way, is a cut above the rest. You can go down the street and get a $20 dance with a 5, while at our places you can get a $26 dance from a 12. I'm not a looker, and a lot of us aren't. And if we are going to spend money, why not do it with a 10. As far as all the other comments they sound personal, this is a median for us to communicate. That's all I'll say about that. The Bare Elegance company is planning on some changes, and you'll see, they are good ones for everybody. I personally challenge all the entertainers out there to step up your game, especially my girls, you guys are right, customer service should and always remain top focus. The property alone is worth a lot less than when he bought it, and the way things are run there, I bet the income is half of what it was in the Bare's heyday. The former owner is way smarter than the new one, even if he is sitting in prison. He's got millions in the bank while the new guy is probably drowning in debt. LOL He fired dancers like me that ask every customer for a dance and stay on the floor for a bunch of primadonnas like himself that stay in the back and ignore the customers when they do come on the floor. Even other posters have noticed this. One guy I know likes the Bare because he says when he's in it, it doesn't feel like being in a strip club, just a regular night club. Sure, when you can't see any girls on the floor and the stage is empty for song after song, he's right. Afternoon TR This is a fave time to go- Dancers as attractive as ever, no parking lot or bathroom troll. One change I noticed on 1 visit was dancers danced their sets on main center stage, rather than customary aux stage near the restrooms. 2fers, sometimes consecutive, are called 2, maybe 3 times per hr. VIP's would be 4 for 3. There was an even mix between blondes & brunettes, some that I recall: BLONDES- Carmen (yes, she's Russian, and Hot), Nicole, Rachel. BRUNETTES- Tonya, and some Latinas whose name escapes me. Also, London, who had auburnish tinge, fair skin, and an inner thigh tattoo. I still go to both clubs as well, but due to what I see as more negatives at the Bare, I hold them to a higher standard. Within the last 6 months, I'd say that 50% of my drives to the Bare have resulted in my leaving very soon after arriving and heading over to the Jet. Why? Well, once was due to the afternoon valet parking issue. The other times it has been due to too few dancers during the dayshift. Now, I'm realistic and don't expect to find 30 dancers on a Saturday afternoon. But there used to be at least 6 or so on any given Saturday around 3pm or so. Two Saturdays ago there were 2 dancers working. Last Saturday, they had all of 4 working (wow - twice as many as the week before!). They were all new girls, and to the Bare's credit, 3 out of the 4 were "Bare quality" (the fourth one should never have been hired,IMHO). Both of those Saturdays I left the Bare & headed over to the Jet, where there were no less than 7 or 8 girls on schedule. I don't know what the Jet does differently to lure girls in during slow shifts, but whatever it is it is working. Another bonus point for the Jet. FWIW, I agree with Cletus's observations, but the Jet seems to just put a lot more effort into taking care of it's customers - like keeping up with the RTRC on Twitter. It's a small thing, and probably a big pain in the ass for them to continually update, but many of us do check it and appreciate the effort. The Bare did it for about a month, then gave up on it. Figures. I'll still try the Bare on occasion, but lately those occasions are becoming fewer & further between. This next missive directed towards "baredm" I do want to say more loudly: If you REALLY want more business, you need to change your thinking in these following ways: 1) Offer true value beyond token discount hour time windows, and cheap grub on slowest hours (kudos for Fri buffet, though). How about unclipped songs, expanded off peak night discounts, single song vs 3 pack VIP extensions, etc. Hint... A certain ZB T5 club has 4 minute songs on certain night, and lower dance prices to boot. 2) Especially being in airport traveller location- You aren't just competing with the faded memory of that upselling tacky club that is morphing into an airport parking garage, but with other clubs across the country (think Dallas, Tampa, Miami, Houston, Phoenix, etc) that are close to airport. If customer perceives more value at those other city clubs, he'll just forego visit to yours, and spend ca$h at those that deliver. I know that alot of the dancers smoke, and they do their best to minimize the smoky smell, but once it gets into your hair there really is no way to get it out until you wash it. They can use breath mints/gum, and body spray to help kill the smell, which helps. But once it's in your hair - forget it! Anyway I went to one of them and yeah it was a total DISASTER!!!! I would avoid it at all cost. You couldn't even see the regular dancers on stage as there were many in the adult camera crew standing covering the event all around taking pictures of these Asian stars most of who I don't even think they are in the porn Industry as I never heard of any of them.
