I still go to both clubs as well, but due to what I see as more negatives at the Bare, I hold them to a higher standard. Within the last 6 months, I'd say that 50% of my drives to the Bare have resulted in my leaving very soon after arriving and heading over to the Jet. Why? Well, once was due to the afternoon valet parking issue. The other times it has been due to too few dancers during the dayshift. Now, I'm realistic and don't expect to find 30 dancers on a Saturday afternoon. But there used to be at least 6 or so on any given Saturday around 3pm or so. Two Saturdays ago there were 2 dancers working. Last Saturday, they had all of 4 working (wow - twice as many as the week before!). They were all new girls, and to the Bare's credit, 3 out of the 4 were "Bare quality" (the fourth one should never have been hired,IMHO). Both of those Saturdays I left the Bare & headed over to the Jet, where there were no less than 7 or 8 girls on schedule. I don't know what the Jet does differently to lure girls in during slow shifts, but whatever it is it is working. Another bonus point for the Jet. FWIW, I agree with Cletus's observations, but the Jet seems to just put a lot more effort into taking care of it's customers - like keeping up with the RTRC on Twitter. It's a small thing, and probably a big pain in the ass for them to continually update, but many of us do check it and appreciate the effort. The Bare did it for about a month, then gave up on it. Figures. I'll still try the Bare on occasion, but lately those occasions are becoming fewer & further between. Date: 11/17/2009 11:35pm Name: Cletus (12) Subject: Bare vs Jet - Parking Etc. Some incomplete info has been posted recently about parking. The Bare only charges for daytime parking (before 5 pm) on Thursday and Friday. Should they charge at any time? Not sure. But I am sure that they should have valets or security in the lot at night. They protect the customer, his car, the dancers, and the club. Without valets, a lot of trouble would occur in the parking lot. For similar reasons I like to see an attendant in the restroom and always tip him. These guys are providing security for patrons and the club. The Jetstrip recently changed its parking policy. They no longer charge to use their lot at any time. But this is a result of circumstance as much as anything else. It's easy to find free street parking within a block or two of the Jet. People simply weren't using the lot. That's not a good thing for the club. It looked deserted and it wasn't safe for the customers. You don't want patrons walking to cars even 2 blocks away late at night. It's asking for trouble (even though there's a police station 2 blocks away). The Jet still posts a security guard in the parking lot. They have to pay him out of their other proceeds since they don't charge for parking. Hopefully this won't put the Jet out of business So the Jet is one up on the Bare when it comes to parking. But the Bare is one up on the Jet when it comes to cover charges. The Bare is very generous with get-in-free coupons. I never pay a cover charge to get into the Bare, whereas I almost always pay a cover to get into the Jet (at night). Typically it costs me $5.00 to get into the Bare at night (parking fee + tip), and $6.00 to get into the Jet ($11 cover - $5 newspaper coupon). Dances cost more at the Bare, but it's a prettier club with more beautiful dancers. It should be $30 or $40, not $31 and $41 (seems silly). The Jet plays all songs for almost exactly 3 minutes. I like this policy. It's simple. The Bare cuts them off at 2:30 or 2:45, but they offer lots of 2-for-1's, which sort of makes up for the shorter songs. No - they are not really 2-for-1's. They are 4 or 4:30 sessions. But that's a lot better than 2:30. So these clubs sort of balance out. I go to both of them. Food at both clubs is improving steadily. But they BOTH need to add turkey burgers to their menus. Lots of great ladies at both places. Easy to find beautiful women who'll laugh at anything you say no matter how idiotic it is. Mileage - you ask? I'm very happy with both clubs. Remember guys, these are strip clubs, not brothels. This next missive directed towards "baredm" I do want to say more loudly: If you REALLY want more business, you need to change your thinking in these following ways: 1) Offer true value beyond token discount hour time windows, and cheap grub on slowest hours (kudos for Fri buffet, though). How about unclipped songs, expanded off peak night discounts, single song vs 3 pack VIP extensions, etc. Hint... A certain ZB T5 club has 4 minute songs on certain night, and lower dance prices to boot. 2) Especially being in airport traveller location- You aren't just competing with the faded memory of that upselling tacky club that is morphing into an airport parking garage, but with other clubs across the country (think Dallas, Tampa, Miami, Houston, Phoenix, etc) that are close to airport. If customer perceives more value at those other city clubs, he'll just forego visit to yours, and spend ca$h at those that deliver. I couldn't believe that these assclowns are STILL charging a valet fee to park there on Thursday & Friday afternoons! Doing that at night is bad enough, but in the afternoons? Ridiculous! That $4.50 charge is better used to buy the mandatory 1 drink minimum in the club. In these economic times they continue to move in the wrong direction, and they continue to drive customers away....which is exactly what I did. You can also order food here and on Mondays they have a $6 steak dinner which is pretty good. Tip the girls you like if you are shy and you'll get their attention. Club has flat screens showing all the sports. Right now the club is getting ready for Halloween and has a huge Jackolantern on the outside of the building. I know that alot of the dancers smoke, and they do their best to minimize the smoky smell, but once it gets into your hair there really is no way to get it out until you wash it. They can use breath mints/gum, and body spray to help kill the smell, which helps. But once it's in your hair - forget it! Anyway I went to one of them and yeah it was a total DISASTER!!!! I would avoid it at all cost. You couldn't even see the regular dancers on stage as there were many in the adult camera crew standing covering the event all around taking pictures of these Asian stars most of who I don't even think they are in the porn Industry as I never heard of any of them. Also it was very pricey charging a lot more than the regular club price so don't be surprised if they charge you more than regular price at the door. If I were you I would avoid the event at all cost. There were about 6 or 7 dancers there. Notice how I say "there"....not "working".The dancers were too lazy to actually get out on the floor. They spent most of their time hiding at the back of the bar near the DJ booth. Several 2fers came & went with no girls in sight. So I sat there for an hour while my money burned a hole in my pocket. The only dancer to even stop by was April (luv to you girl!). What the hell is wrong with these women?
