No field pie! Dance prices: I think it's $31/$41 for topless/nude singles on the day shift, $41/$51 at night. VIPs are $83/$103 day, $103/$133 night. I believe the nude singles are done in the VIP area. But I've only done 2-fers and VIPs. And tx 4 the Qdos. Sorry, can't help as to Jill's whereabouts. Girls take some time off, so yes, she could be on vacation. Just because she's not on the web schedule doesn't mean anything; hell, it doesn't even mean she's not at the club. Perhaps she made my good list purely out of lone-star pride and solidarity. One more question re: “single and two-fer nudes are done in what used to be the VIP-only area”. Previously, the VIP area was for 3 songs in a block (4 if during a 2:1 special). Does your comment mean they still do that but in addition, nudes are only available there (as either single dances or two-fers), or does that mean the old pricing structure is gone now and the old VIP area is now the nude area? (Given fairly recent postings, I am assuming the former unless the changes are very recent, indeed.) Also, if the VIP pricing structure remains, does the $10 extra cost for the new nudes mean an additional $30 for a block of 3 in the VIP, or does some special pricing prevail there. It was your four-year-old recommendation that got me to try Simone, or I might not have bothered, aesthetics notwithstanding, because, well, you know, it's the Bare. But okay, guidance. Day shift is simple, because, if what you're calling the "weekend" excludes Friday afternoon, then it's only Saturday, since neither club has a Sunday afternoon shift. Saturday afternoon, go to the Jet, because you'll probably find only 3 or 4 girls at the Bare. Expect twice as many at the Jet. Friday afternoon, you can stay with the Bare, if you like that club better. Any night shift, the Bare should also rule on quantity and quality of girls, which is not to say that there aren't a few lookers at the Jet. As for lap heat, well, as you know, there's not a lot of it at these two clubs. But at night, I'd take the Bare, if only for the curiosity value of nude laps, which the club instituted a few months ago ($10 more than topless though, which at night is already $10 more than topless at the Jet). For the days, I'd lean to the Jet, though not as strongly as I would've several years ago. As to specific dancers, well, that's something else that's changed in the past several years: I'm not buying as many laps as I used to and can no longer say that Flopsie and Mopsie are the best on the shift. But there are a few girls I've run into whose laps I've liked and to whom I've returned. At the Bare: Sienna, who now works Friday afternoons only, and of course, Simone, to whom I've returned only once, actually (I don't like being called "baby"); also, on Saturday afternoon you might run into Joey, one of the smartest strippers you'll ever meet, and a sweet cutie in spite of her Goth trappings (try to get past the nipple hardware, and the elaborate tattoo on her back, which I know you will, because you counted among your faves that girl by the name of a certain state who appeared to have scenes from said jurisdiction's history tattooed all over her body). Also acceptable: Jill, a Filipino midget, and Onyx, a black Amazon who, if you're lucky, will preface the festivities in the booth with a 20-minute impromptu pep talk about how special the two of you are (you'll find it'll have a whiff of home). At the Jet, I've been buying lately from Kai, who is all the Japanese you need to know; Maya II (or the Lesser, to distinguish her from Maya I, the Greater), who every other Saturday redefines "upbeat"; the lovely young white girl in white, Violet; and, speaking of Amazons, Kylie, who doesn't actually work at the Jet any more, but shows up from time to time. Incidentally, you may have read that the Bare was running continuous specials. That has now ended, and they are back to the usual arrangement, although the last few times I've gone, I've received on entry a voucher good for a two-for-one. (Co-incidentally, single and two-fer nudes are done in what used to be the VIP-only area.) West Texas is hotter’n hell these days, but what else is new! Hope you’ve been well. But I digress. I see Simone is at the BE lately and you recently confirmed she’s the same one from several years ago. I remember her pretty well from what may not have been her rookie year, but was something much closer to that than to her current veteran status. She was a 5’10” morena that was proportioned like a girl of more average height such that I didn’t realize she was so tall until she stood beside me in her 5” heels. Claimed to be a college student then – something in sports medicine. In those days, I thought her face quite lovely – not in the classic way, but in her own unique wide-set jaw way. After that, I didn’t see her at the BE for 2-3 years, but when I did, the years had been less than kind, and I thought her face … severe. And while still quite curvy, she had thickened just a bit. I don’t mean to sound negative, because, in truth, I remained quite taken with her. And she had an exceptional work ethic, offering very energetic dances such that she seemed to be the most popular dancer in the place – often missing stage calls as PLs seemed all but lined up for her. That second time I saw her was a few years ago, so I was glad to see she still had what it takes to make one of your recent fave bods lists. I’d sure like to see Simone again. But I digress. You’ve never steered me wrong, so my question: Between the BE and the Jet, which do you recommend for weekend day shift (for someone without time to visit both)? And what about night shift? And, while you’re at it: which dancers? At the BE, I see Kennedy, Rosie, Electra, and Sabrina each made both your fave faces and fave bods lists fairly recently (but I know that doesn’t necessarily imply fave dances!). We used to e-mail off line, but I don’t think that account is active for me these days. And I know you don’t like to put too much on the public site. So use your imagination and be cryptic (or obtuse!) – you have a talent for cryptic (and obtuse should certainly be possible for you with a bit of effort!). That’s worked OK in the past. The club serves alcohol has topless stage downstairs and nude upstairs...dances are very physical and only $15 each song. You can also order food here and on Mondays they have a $6 steak dinner which is pretty good. Tip the girls you like if you are shy and you'll get their attention. Club has flat screens showing all the sports. Bring your friends for a bachelor party celebration or just come on in for some sexy one-on-one with your favorite dancer. I dunno. Silver Reign, maybe, but that seems unduly harsh. And right in the middle would be the club right by my job, the one I go to the most, Bare Elegance. My favorite dancer at Bare Elegance put it this way, "the girls at Spearmint Rhino are strippers; the girls at Bare Elegance are dancers." Bare Elegance exudes class - it was rennovated a year or two ago so it would. And it has special events that attract a higher clientele - women, athletes (I met Scottie Pippen there), etc. But I'm a boob guy, and I gotta tell you, it usually averages about one big boob girl, with a bunch of C cuppers next in line. But they're pretty C cuppers, and I'll give this club that - the girls are all pretty. I'm just extremely selective. But usually that one girl who I'm into is dynamite. The girls are all nice; the servers are pretty; nobody harrasses you to buy the girls drinks. They have many days where they do two for ones all days, and free lunch buffets on Saturday. They give you passes and drink coupons and whatnot - they're very friendly, albeit not as friendly as Jet Strip. In the class department, Bare Elegance is top notch. But I want girls with big fake boobs, and there, they usually have at least one. I definitely recommend it, particularly if chest size doesn't matter to you. VIPs were 4 songs. PL count: 30 at 11:30. Bass was too loud, and the lights over stage 1 were unflattering to some of the dancers. Date: 5/18/2010 12:22am Name: qbg (3186) Subject: Two-fers and song times So the Bare is having an all two-for-one month on single dances, and is kicking in a fourth dance for free on the VIPs. Just how good a deal is this? For singles, it's pretty good. I timed 10 songs on Friday evening, and, as is customary at the Bare, there was a lot of variation in song lengths: singles ran anywhere from a minute and a half to three minutes. The average of 10 songs, though, was around 2:20. So two-fers averaged 4:40. Back a couple years ago when I was actually going to this club, two-fers would often run about that long -- obviously an improvement over the singles that would clock in around 2:45 or 2:50. At $41 for topless, a dance (2 songs) this month will cost you $9 a minute, or a bit less than the Jet's typical $10. For the VIP, it's not that great a deal: You're getting four songs for three instead of the six that you would if you were buying singles. Moreover, the three that you would have been buying in another month are like 2:45 each, instead of the 2:20 this month. The arithmetic still works out in the current month's favor, but only by about a minute -- 9:20 vs. 8:15. And that assumes you wouldn't, in another month, be starting your VIP on a 2-fer, which would give you an extra couple minutes. You might ask, why buy VIPs at all? Two topless dances (four songs) cost you $82, whereas a 4-song topless VIP costs you $103. Well, you do get a little more privacy in the VIP. Typically, I've enjoyed the VIPs at the Bare more than the singles, and that was also true on Friday evening. But the decision has been a little easier in other months, when the VIP has also had a price advantage over three singles. Friday evening roll: Andrea, Angelica, Daisy, Heather, Icy, Jayda, Jill, Joy, Lily, Michelle, Mimi, Raquel, Roxanne, Sabrina, and Simone, among others. Is why we get charged to much On the other side of what dancers make per topless or nude dance is what customers have to pay which is 100% regardless how the money is split with the club. From a lap dawgs point of view....clubs that charge $25 for topless or $40 per nude are priced to high to begin with unless it is a 4 to 5 minute dance/song or it's for a 2-4-1 for 4 to 5 minutes. Dancers at over--priced clubs are more dependent on a good economy and on fresh meat puppy PL that don't know any better. Yet neither the dancer nor the club wants to reduce their share and both end up making less because the customers stop going, and those that do go, buy less dances. IMO some of the smartest strippers work in $10 to $15 bikini dance clubs. They view their money potential as having more upside because they can sell alot more dances and not have to get to nasty. For the average male over age 25 a couple of topless or nude dances have the same effect as a watered down drink. Not much. It's going to take alot more than 1 or 2 dances for the lap dawg to feel a lap buzz going. And at the higher prices...they aren't going to buy more dances. I don't mind going to the high priced clubs because I spend 1/2 of what I normally would. There are some successful strippers I've met recently at Imperial Anaheim. It's a minium $50 for 5 bikini dances. The girl gets $35. However, each extra bikini dance is $15 of which they pay-out like $3. The smart dancers take advantage of using that extra dance time to turn-on the lap dawg. It's not shear beauty that gets lap dawgs to spend money. Even beautiful dancers fail at ITA when they don't have dance talent. It's good lap dances with body contact that does it. Hot looks is a bonus that help sells the first $50. For extra dances, it's skill. To get some extra $15 each dances all they do is toss in some quick flashes of topless or flash the kitty and bump and grind, do some freak dancing moves. They pay out like $3 from each $15 but make it up in tips and by having more customers that are willing to spend. If I were ever willing to spend $150 at BE LAX, a girl would net $75 ! Compare how much of that $150 the Imperial dancer keeps (+/- $5). She gets $35 from the $50, nets another $60 for the extra 5 dances and that leaves me $25 to tip her. $120 for her out of my $150. Maybe some ofthe B.E. girls would say "she spent more time dancing!?" True. But you spent more time talking to a customer trying to get a couple of dances and made zero during that time. ATTN: B.E. LAX....please drop your topless dance prices, keep your 50% splits....and ITA will welcome all BE girls that would go there. PS: I once got 10 extra dances with a dancer named Alex when ISP had 3 for $30 bikini dances in their vip room. The last 2 or 3 dances were spend chilling, she talked of a dancer roomate, how she got a scar on her knee, as I stroked her leg from her ankle on up to her booty. A little known fact by most patrons is that the girls are aready dancing for you for only 12 dollars a dance. the club splits the dance 50-50 with the girls and on top of that there are a few employees that expect 1 dollar a dance tip from the dancer too. if the price went down to 20 dollars, I can assure you the split will still remain the same 50-50 plus tip for other employees who expect it. that would mean out of the 20 you paid the dancer, she would only get 7. no girl wants to dance topless for less than what she could make somewhere else selling a $10 bikini dance. Or girls can make there way out to vegas where there house fee is $50 and they keep every sent of their hard earned $20 of dance money not having to split with the club. For me it's usually either The Bare or The Jet. I've also been visiting Rio over on Figueroa - nude dances 3 for $60. Each club has it's ups & downs, like everything in life. For most guys, I bet a club in Rialto is not an alternative to BE LAX. For a lot of guys, I doubt DVNH is an alternative. The closest real alternative is the Jet Strip, and not everybody is going to like that club's physical layout, topless there is $30 most of the time, and the lineups are usually weaker. True, mileage is somewhat higher, though it's not COI. It's not even Silver Reign. For guys willing to travel to the West side, which is not that far, there's 4Play, for good-looking chicks and cheap, long laps but, as everybody knows, little action. There's Silver Reign, which has shorter dances and, typically in the evening, no topless, and few specials, so you're stuck with $40 dances, though at least you can often have a good time if you can keep your mind off the money. Then there are Skin and the Star Strip, about which nothing need be said. I'm not gonna try to defend the Bare. I haven't been there in over a year, despite numerous trips in the past and despite a luscious lineup, at least on the day shift, because the dances had just gotten too lame. I've been meaning to go back one Friday afternoon and verify that things haven't gotten any better, but you know, it never seems a priority. Still, I can see it, for some guys who want a kinda-swank environment, lookers, and a little grind, if they're not budget-constrained and don't want to drive a long way, this could be the place. Also so you are aware some of the other Places I've been to the dancers don't just wait for the special to walked out to the floor. They actually hustle and asked for dances on single songs or some sit and mingle with the customers. You think they are just chatting while sitting on a customers lap, but they are in a way working the floor and do see PL's buying single songs as $20 is not that bad compared to $26. I had forgotten that bare elegance and valley ball are sister clubs so TED is right. I guess they thought changing names with the bad rep. valley ball has gotten would bring back customers to that club, but it will backfire once the customers come to find out the current prices are for that establishment. The one thing that Bare LAX has in its favor unlike the the valley Bare club is there isn't much competition in the area. Bare elegance in the valley has godfather's,Spearmint rhino-van nuys, deja vu-N.H., Rouge, which are all close by that charge much less and the mileage is better. Last time I was at valley ball(bare elegance now) I remembered buying a 2 for 1 dance for $30 topless(Yeah I know what the Fuck was I thinking) the floor manager was standing there like an erected smuck watching my action(the whole entire time) not just marking the song down for the dancer. He made me very uncomfortable that I had to post that sh*t up here at the time. The one night a few short years ago they had VIP customer appreciation night at VB which was $15 topless $30 nude it was standing room only back to its heydays. Now if they would lower their prices, It will bring customers back in. A man named Mike Woods, who used to own this Bare Elegance (including the land), the Valley Ball (also including the land) and the Jet Strip (a rented building), sold both properties in the early 2000's ('03 or '04). Unlike the then buyer and current owner, a Mike G., Woods is a genius having sold real estate at the height of the market. Geez, he paid some $60,000 for the property on Imperial Highway back in the early-mid 1980's. It did have a smaller building on it then, but so what, the idiot who bought it, if he paid market value, was about $2 million or so in 2004. Can't tell because it was in an LLC and that just changed hands, so there is no property records of the transfer. It seems that all that happened to the Valley Ball last year was a name change to match this club. The reason I know all this is because I used to date the former owner of another club and am now an real estate agent. The RE records are available to anyone that wants to go into the Hall of Records at the County Recorder's Office in Norwalk and look them up. FYI: The "G" in Mike G stands for greedy, not genius.
