Wednesday's are the best nights at 4P due to the 4-minute songs on that day/night. So let's say you go upstairs to a bed at $40/dance (not nude - just more private and lying down). It's a five-song minimum, so on a Thursday-Saturday that's 17.5 minutes versus 20, and lord knows, that 2.5 minutes can make all the difference. It's also the other reason 4P is considered by some to be a better choice than other clubs in the area. Most clubs in L.A., like Silver Reign and SRVN, feature 2 to 2.5 minute songs. So you actually save. HOWEVER, as mentioned here, mileage is lower at 4P than at those other clubs (although the lack of mileage is slightly overstated). They hire based on placing in the Top 3 on Amateur night (Tuesdays at about 9:30). The voting is done by three distinct groups: a) Regular PL's like me b) Guests of management and/or ownership c) the creepy guys who only come out for the Amateur Night, are never seen any other time, never ever get dances, and try and act like big shots to the contestants since they "vote" This is the problem. The second two groups don't really know the regular clientele or what works at this club and as a result vote for blondes with bolt-ons. These girls tend to win. Not that there is anything wrong with that. It's just that this club is about variety and hotness and as a result, very few of them are hired (as there are MORE than enough of that type at 4P already). In other words, being a natural brunette won't hurt your chances of getting hired here as long as you can come in the Top 3. Management knows what works (and they listen to their true regulars) so if you're hot and sexy it won't matter at all that you're not blonde and fake.
